You're leaving cups everywhere, man!

My friend said this to me and then I know exactly how many cups I had left: One cup earlier somewhere, passed without punishment (the precedent) and the second cup (the minimum) wherever it was. And sure enough, there they were, I took them down to the kitchen. And now he's next to me and won't give me the nice thing, and I won't ask. I remember the same situation from months ago, he was telling me that so-and-so guy was doing so-and-so (not serious at all) and I explained to him that, it's not that he's doing those things, those things aren't serious enough for you to hate him, they are just convenient excuse for you to justify the hate you already have of him. You don't hate what he does, but what he is, very viscerally, but in society it's not politically correct to hate simply for hate's sake, therefore the need of the game.
Meanwhile he gave me the nice thing, so it was just tacit soft punishment rather than crystallization of hate. Fair enough. I haven't been the nicest of guests. Ah, I almost forgot where this was leading into... oh, the fact that I can't have friends.
