Foolish me. Had you forgotten that you were dealing with humans? Never forget: They don't mean what they say. They'd like to be more courageous than they are. It's ok. They don't know their own game of which they don't know the rules. They want to be pawns but also want to be kings. As a pawn myself, a willing pawn, for now, in their game, I let my guard down and didn't play by the rules, even if they were the ones suggesting it.
